Yesterday afternoon it started raining. It stopped for awhile and started again in the middle of the night. It rained, rained, rained, and rained some more. I kept getting up in the middle of the night because the trail behind our house flooded up to our fence yesterday afternoon and I wanted to make sure it wasn't creeping up to the house. Luckily it wasn't, but we got a call at 6:00 A.M. this morning saying that the whole district had no school because of flooding. We turned the news on and whoa!!!!!! I think they said our area got 10-12 inches in 15 hours. We had major flooding going on in this area. All the lakes in our neighborhood are overflowing and as you can see from the pictures flooding all the way to our cul-de-sac. The golf course is completely flooded. You can see a few flags when you drive by the course. So sad, I don't know what it will do to that gorgeous place. Anyway I know you cannot tell just how flooded the lake is by our house but to give you an idea you can look at the trees. Usually, when walking from our cul-de-sac to the lake, we go across the jogging trail and down the hill quite a ways. Today we could fish from the cul-de-sac. Crazy!
