Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did. We all ate too much, but I managed to stay away from the pecan pie. I did have my share of pumpkin pie though but that is not too bad.

We have been having fun hanging out with the family. Mary Jo and David came for dinner Tuesday night and then Jami had to leave yesterday to head to Arkansas with them. It is so quiet around here now without Luke and Lane. We miss them. The boys all played pretty well together, but it did get loud and crazy at times. Luke is so big and is talking a lot. He is so cute and sweet. Lane became my big buddy. He kept saying that he loved me. So precious.

Today all of the boys went golfing. I guess they got sick of playing wii golf so they thought they would play for real. Mom and I went to two stores but that was the extent of our shopping.

We have decided to stay and leave Monday. Why not?? Jax will miss school, but the traffic should be a lot better than it would be on Saturday or Sunday.

I guess when we get home I am going to have to focus on Christmas shopping. I have to get started.

Below are a few pictures. The first is a picture of the boys feeding the ducks just down from my parents house. The next is a picture of all of the boys after a game of football. Below that is a little video of them playing football.

Busy Busy Week

Oh it has been a busy week, but before I get into that...AMANDA AND BILLY ARE HAVING ANOTHER GIRL and we are so excited. I think they were hoping for a little football player but
God knows best. We now have perfect balance 2 girls and 2 boys. So sorry for the lack of posts but it has been crazy busy. We are leaving for Tampa Friday mid day so I am trying to get ready for that. I went to 2 different beauty supplies to get stuff for me, my mom and Jami. Then to the bank. Then to get my nails done. After that I went and got the boys 2 new movies for the 13 hour road trip. Next CVS to pick up Chris' steroids...he has poison ivy AGAIN!!! I headed home to find Chris across the street cutting out one of the "wise men" out of plywood. Apparently, Pat has always wanted a huge nativity scene in her yard. She ordered a 200.00 pattern set and bought several sheets of plywood and traced them and Chris cut some of them out. She is over there right now cutting out more of them. I ended up helping with the sanding and priming. After that is all done she has to draw picture then paint. She wants me to help but I really don't have time. I am not an artist anyway, what is she thinking. So anyway, then we picked Jax up and came home and I pushed mowed the yard while Chris ran the weed eater. Then he ran out of weed eater cord and one thing led to another. I had to run to Lowes and since I was going that way I should pick up a 6 pack of Miller Lites because weed eating makes you thirsty. Then Chris thought I should get a pizza from Papa Johns on my way by there. So I did those things as fast as I could and got home to hand the pizza off and go for a run with Jessica. We have been working out 5 days a week. 3 days of running and 2 days of a full body workout tape. I can really tell she has lost some weight and is toning up and I ..................well, I feel really strong.

I wanted to put some pictures of Chris' deer on here but we haven't downloaded them yet. Maybe later.

Oh yeah, Chris and I went for check ups yesterday. We both had great blood pressure but I am anxious for the rest of the results. Chris had high cholesterol a couple of years ago. They are testing my thyroid along with the other normal things. By the way, I got Brooks' blood test results back and we still don't know if he is allergic to peanuts. I am going to see a specialist but the results are really weird. The scale goes from .34 to 100. His peanut allergy came back .60 and his milk allergy was .37 and his egg white was .75. So he eats scrambled eggs, drinks milk by the gallons so I am guessing he isn't really allergic to any of those things but we will see what the allergist says.

Alarm Malfunction

Chris is out of town and in a tree somewhere so he cannot talk. I have to email him or text him if I want to talk to him. He texted me at 5 something this morning to see if we were okay because the alarm company had left him a message. So here is the email I sent him this morning:

Well, honey here are the lovely details of my fun night. At 11:30 it started storming and the alarm went off. I had it set to beep first before it immediately goes off, but it didnt do that, it just went off. I got up and checked it out, Jax was crying. The alarm company called and wanted the pass code and to see if everything was okay. Apparently I don't know the pass code. I rambled off several numbers I thought it could be. So now I am scared and I reset the alarm. It goes off again in about a minute. They call me back. She said it must be the storm and I said okay. I go get back in bed and the alarm beeped like someone opened the door. I get up terrified and go to the alarm and it has some kind of function code. I called the lady back that called me and she said to alarm and disarm it and start over. I did and that fixed it. I turn the alarm back on and go get in bed. I am laying there so awake and scared. I was just laying there looking around. Then I see a flashlight shining in our bathroom window. Nice, then I see someone is shining the light all around our bedroom and back porch. It was thundering and lightening but there was no doubt it was a flashlight. I looked out the window and saw a lady in black with a flashlight looking all over our yard and porch. I got my glasses on and saw that it was a police officer. I run to the front door and look outside and there are 4 police cars in front of the house. I am in my pjs but I really didn't care at this point. I opened the front door, it is pouring down rain, and I say "hello, hello" and then they come walking to the door. They asked if my alarm was set off and I tell them what happened. They said they get a lot of calls like that when it is storming. The male officer said not to be worried that it is very safe in this neighborhood. Well, I didn't feel very safe at the moment. I set the alarm back and go to bed, and 20 minutes later it goes off again. It didn't beep first it just went off so I turned the damn thing off. The lady calls me back and suggests I call ASG security tomorrow. Yeah you think!

Brooks goes to Gymnastics

I took Brooks for a trial gymnastics class today, and he loved it. He jumped right out there when they called his name and never looked back. The reason I took him was a few weeks ago we went to a birthday party at the Cypress Academy and the boys had a blast. Since then, Brooks has been asking to go back. I thought it would be something fun for him to do. It is going to be good for him. He has to listen and follow instructions. He also has to learn to wait in line for his turn. He is not really that patient, I wonder where he gets that from. So I signed him up and we go on Thursdays at 10:15.

My hubby is gone again. It is okay though. He is getting a well deserved vacation. He is headed to Kansas and then Missouri. He is going with his friend Jaime Carty. They are so excited! It is so cute to see him all wound up ready to go kill a deer. He and Jaime have talked a hundred times during the passed few days. They have "buck fever" really bad! I hope they both get a big one.

Check Up day

I took the boys today for their yearly check ups. We went to the new pediatric office right by our house. I wasn't crazy about them but nothing to complain about either. I guess I probably won't find Dr. Beene's equivalent. I sure miss that lady. Anyway, Chris was supposed to go with me but he had to go help Austin with some big meeting. Surprise, Surprise. So I took them by myself and they did great. I was a little anxious. I knew Jax had to get one shot and the flu mist, and Brooks had to get 4 shots, the flu mist and his blood drawn. I was so happy with them. No one cried!!! Seriously, it was a breeze. They were very brave. Brooks had an eye exam and a hearing test. He passed them both, even though I would swear he is deaf sometimes. It was so cute though, they did his eye exam with shapes. He was covering his eye and reading off the shapes. I don't know why but it was just precious. He would say moon, heart, circle and x (which was really a + but he didn't know, x is in Jax's name and it kind of looked like it.) I thought it was so cute. They weighed them and measured them. Jax is 55% in height and 50 % in weight, so basically his measurements were average. Brooks was 95% in height and 75% in weight. I knew he was tall but I was shocked by his weight. The last time his height was 95% and 25% in weight, and I thought it would be the same this time. I guess he should weigh more because he is taller than 95% of the kids his age, but he seems so skinny to me. So that is how the check up went today. All is well there.

I must get back to the election. I am hoping it starts looking better!
