Well, about noon the kids started begging to go golfing. We gave in, and decided to go to a "not so nice" golf course. Brooks assured us he didn't need his 12:30 nap. Yeah right, he fell asleep on the way, see picture below. Notice he has his golf glove on and his visor in his hand when he couldn't fight it anymore. Anyway we got there and Jax was so excited. He played a few holes and the excitement wore off. Then...........Chris told us where to look for lost golf balls. We found the honey hole. Jax and I were back in the woods and I was throwing golf balls out like crazy. It looked like it was raining balls. We have one of those telescoping golf ball grabbers. Sorry, I am not sure it's official name, but it is worth it's weight in gold. To us anyway. We had so many balls we had to put them in the cooler. Jax was going crazy. So we got home and counted them...................51 balls. Sweet. Below are some of the pictures I took today.

It is the weekend again!!!!
It has been a week since my last post. Sorry. I guess there isn't a lot happening around here. Always busy, but nothing exciting. We have gotten a lot of much needed rain the last few days. I spent the day cooking. I made a big batch of potato salad and a double batch of oreo dessert. Tomorrow we are going to smoke our first ever brisket. I am going to also make baked beans. Then, I am going to take several of my neighbors dinner. They have all fed us at one point, so it is the least I can do. We hope to have a nice, quiet weekend. Chris' phone shouldn't ring much. Anyway, HAPPY WEEKEND!!!

Gas Crisis
Okay, we had already spent the day test driving several different cars. With the gas prices the way they are, we have been considering a car for some time. Who needs two SUV's anyway. We are not in any hurry to make a change, but thought we should start looking so we would know what we want. It was fun. I think for my everyday driving I would enjoy whipping around in a car. After we did that, we had a late lunch and ate way too much. We had fried cheese, fried pickles and fried catfish. Chris and I had slightly upset stomachs all afternoon because of too much fried food. We are not used to eating that. It was so good though. So the kicker was this evening Chris started mowing the lawn and ran out of gas. We needed milk and a couple of other things, so I volunteered to go get it. I got my groceries and checked out. I got a 10.00 gift card for gas, thinking that would get my can full. I got to the pump, started filling my gas can, and just as the pump was going fast it shut right back down. I was already at 10.00. I just had to laugh, out loud. I got like 2.5 gallons. My can was barely half full. Unbelievable. I know I am not letting you all in on a secret, you already know that gas prices stink!!!!! There is nothing we can do about it.
FYI, we found 15 more golf balls today. Fun, Fun.

GOT BALLS
We are always looking for something to entertain us around here. Boy have we found it. We hunt for golf balls like they are Easter eggs. Our neighborhood borders another large neighborhood with a golf course. Part of the holes border our neighborhood. We go look for lost balls everyday. Fun, Fun. We have found soooooooo many balls. Cheap entertainment and weirdly fun for even me.
On another note, I am taking care of my neighbor's (Pat) dog. She went to New York for 4 days and was so upset about leaving her dog. I mean she would cry every time we talked about it. You would not believe what I have to do to take care of this dog, but I do want to help so she can relax and have a good trip. She wouldn't let me do it unless she paid me. She gave me 300.00 for 4 days. I really didn't want her to pay me but she made me take it. I need a gig like that every week.

Happy Father's Day!!!!
Well, I publish this post with gratitude. I am so blessed to have such an amazing father and amazing husband. I could go on, and on about both of them, but I won't. They are both loved dearly and I hope they both had a good day. They both watched a lot of golf, I do know that. Chris informed me that Father's Day will spill over to Monday, the playoff. I'd rather watch paint dry, but whatever floats his boat. Anyway, Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Pictures of the fun
Wednesday at the Oil Ranch Farm:
The kids had so much fun. They loved all of the animals.
The Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory Thursday:
We don't have a lot of pictures to show from this tour, but it was really neat and interesting. Our scoop of ice cream at the end was really fun.

Having Fun!!!!
Well, we have been pretty busy, but we are having fun. We went to the pool yesterday. We went to the new Outlet Mall today and PF Chang's for dinner. We are going to Galveston tomorrow. We know the water is full of seaweed, but the kids will have fun playing in the sand. They are so excited. We went to Walmart and got a bunch of sand toys. Hopefully I will have my pictures uploaded and posted in the next couple of days.

Company's Coming
Chris and I got a head start on our cleaning tonight. We put the boys to bed and cleaned a few rooms. Sherry, Amanda, Gabby, Grandma Ann and Papa Don will be here on Saturday. We are trying to get the house clean before then. We are so excited that they are coming. Brooks was asking today, "how many more days?"
Today is my Grandma's birthday, so one more time Grandma, Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!
I am posting a picture of each of the boys shooting their bows. They are both really into that. I am framing these pictures so thought I would share.
Oh, by the way, we had to get a new transmission. It did come with a 100,000 mile warranty. Guess the Yukon is going to be around alot longer.
